Hello Lovies and Happy Belated Sunday, LOL!!!
I should have had this post up two days ago but hey, here it is now! I've been considering starting a series to summarize our Sundays as a family, hence 1 in the title.
The weather is still nice enough in Atlanta to enjoy the outdoors, so this past Sunday we definitely took advantage of the sunshine to have some fun in the city! I had every intention on recording our outing but post-pregnancy brain caused me to leave the camera at home.
First stop was to visit the rooftop of Ponce City Market, which is an outdoor entertainment space offering carnival style games, mini golf, a three story slide, food, cocktails, and for a limited time they have an ice skating rink. We competed against each other in mini golf which was full of funny moments. I didn't realize how long it had been since I swung a golf club, my aim was horrible! Then the bigger kids played the carnival games and won some cute stuffed bears that will so be forgotten and eventually donated or trashed (just being honest) while the little kids rode the slide again.
Santa and Popsicles
While handing over my $10 to valet I spotted a big guy in a red suit and quickly ran Sumo across the street to give Santa his Christmas list. I had no idea that Santa and the Grinch were both at Ponce City Market! Our exchange with Santa caused valet to park our car back up and we spent another 30 minutes roaming the grounds until we stumbled upon our favorite popsicle stand, King of Pops. After enjoying the kids enjoyed their icy treat we piled in the car and headed to eat.
Yard House, Atlantic Station
My hubby and I were first introduced to this restaurant when we took a trip to Las Vegas. Our second visit was in Seattle. It was only right for us to take our kids to the restaurant we bragged to them about on our trips they were excluded from.
The waitress was kind but the service was horribly slow, it took over an hour to receive our food, although my food was tasty our oldest children did not enjoy their burgers.
If you decide to stop in for a bite to eat, I highly recommend the Korean BBQ tacos!
What should we do next Sunday? Comment below.
