Yes, you've read that correctly....
We have been in our new house for two years now. Can I still say new house?
Regardless, we've been in our "new house" for two years and it is still not decorated! Each room has the basics in order to enjoy the space but no room is completed. Except one, now!
I chose to begin upstairs and work my way around and down. I'm hoping this will help me to stay focused on completing each room before moving on to the next project.
Papa Mans Bedroom
It's a good feeling to have one room completed and a child that is happy with the outcome. I initially tried to apply an adhesive stencil to the wall myself that resembled this wallpaper but after failing tremendously I decided to pay a professional to install this beautiful backdrop and I'm so glad that I did. I found the wallpaper online and it is part of the Cole & Sons Woods product line.
I am a true minimalist at heart, so you won't find anything in my house that is not used consistently or does not evoke feelings of happiness or good memories. Functionality is my number one rule when decorating. Even though I truly love interiors and spend countless hours on Houzz looking at homes with decoration in every corner and on every wall, I hate wasteful spending 5x more.
As for the other items in his room: I purchased the bedroom set from Rooms To Go Kids which I love because as you can see it doubles as storage. Both lamps, comforter set and bean bag was picked up at Target and the desk chair was an inexpensive find on Overstock.
