Free &Cheap Ways to Help Your Child's Teacher

October 25, 2017

For most moms, even us stay at home moms there is joy found in packing your children up for school in the morning. Even though we are sending them into the care of another person for most of the day we still have the responsibility as parents to ensure that there education is taught to them in the most positive atmosphere as we can assist. Here are four main ways to help:

1. Volunteer Time

  • Become a class parent

  • Help grade classwork and/or homework

  • Volunteer on a needs basis

  • Offer your talent (example: graphic designers can make school/classroom posters)

2. Donate Supplies ( copy paper, dry erase markers, small toys, etc.)

  • Dollar store items

  • Clearance

  • No Money? Spread the word about fundraisers to family and friends or help their schools to gain sponsors by speaking with local businesses

3. Be Organized

  • Sign all necessary papers in a timely manner

  • Get your children to school on time, fully rested and well fed

  • Make sure your child has all supplies to complete work at school

4. Communicate

Acknowledge the teacher and make sure to thank her/him for the success of your child

Read the informational materials the school sends home

Speak to your child's teacher first before taking it issues to the Principal

Visit the schools website or teachers blog on a consistent basis
